Auditions

The OLT is a community-based organization dedicated to putting a little theatre in everyone’s life. We hold OPEN AUDITIONS for all the productions in our season, usually about three months in advance. Upcoming auditions are posted on this page and you should check it regularly.

In addition, simultaneously with each audition, a BACKSTAGE ORIENTATION and tour of the theatre is offered by a member of the Volunteer Committee for anyone interested in working behind the scenes on any future production. Descriptions of each of the various Volunteer Positions can be found in the Volunteer section of this website.

For both auditions or backstage orientations, please come to the BESSERER ST. SIDE DOOR ENTRANCE of the OLT, (235 Besserer St.) at least 30 minutes in advance of the posted start time. Ring the bell and you will be admitted. You will be given an information card to fill out.

The director of each play has sole authority in choosing the cast. (Please see Audition Tips for details.) Casting decisions take into account the increasing diversity of our community and the need to reflect that diversity in the casts of our productions. Everyone is welcome!

You do not need to bring a headshot or CV. You do not need to prepare a monologue (unless otherwise stated).
