First you select how many tickets you want and then click on Choose your seats. After you have chosen your seats, the following page is where you can change the price of your tickets. Default price is Adult and depending on what you are using to browse our website if you click on the price of the ticket you can select another price instead.
Please be aware that you can buy student tickets online, but you will be asked to show a valid Student ID or show proof that the ticket is for a student/child when picking up the ticket.

No, student price means that you get a deal for your own ticket or a ticket for a student/youth in your group. Offer good for all children and students with valid ID.

Our Front of House staff and many of our volunteers are certified in first aid and CPR. If a member of your party isn’t feeling well, notify our staff in the lobby and they will assist you.

In order for our staff to locate you quickly in case of an emergency, please leave for your sitter our backstage/greenroom telephone number (613.233.8948 extension 233) and the location of your seats—including which side of the auditorium they are on (for example, Left A1-2).

The main washrooms are located in the lower lobby on either side of the cloakroom. There is a wheelchair accessible washroom located by the Besserer St. Exit to the left of the stage.

Yes. The nice thing about being a season subscriber is you have all your tickets for each play ahead of time. If you need to switch a night, simply call the box office and they will find you the best seats for the night you wish to attend.  There is no exchange fee.

There are three exits – down the lobby stairs to the cloakroom and front doors, the Besserer St. Exit by the left of the stage (your left) and the King Edward Ave. exit located on the right hand side of the theatre – that exit takes you directly out onto King Edward Ave by the front of the theatre.

The OLT applies to the City of Ottawa for an operating grant yearly.

Yes. These devices are available free of charge at our cloakroom in the lower lobby. Simply visit the cloakroom prior to the performance.

Evening shows start at 7:30, and our matinees start at 2:30 PM.

Playing the National Anthem has been a tradition at OLT since 1913.

No. Professionals and new talent alike volunteer their time at OLT. Everyone from actors, directors, designers (costume, set, lighting, sound, set, make-up ect.), crew and ushers volunteer their time on each production. An estimated 50,000 volunteer hours are donated each season by a dedicated team of volunteers.

Directly behind the theatre is Capital Parking ($5) which you can access from Besserer St and Rideau St.

Yes. You can pre-order drinks for intermission and simply pick them up at the side of the bar at the beginning of intermission. No waiting!

Yes. The side entrance (235 Besserer St.) is now open.  An usher will be there to take your tickets, provide hearing devices as required and direct you to the auditorium.
