Running: Dec. 1 – 19, 2015

One boy. One holiday wish. And the grown-ups who conspire to make certain it doesn’t come true. The Christmas cult-classic based on the hit movie bursts onto the OLT stage in all its glowing-leg-lamp, wet-tongue-on-metal, pink-bunny-suit, “you’ll-shoot-your-eye-out” glory! Holiday hilarity for the entire family.

“Adapted for the stage by Philip Grecian based on the film A Christmas Story © 1983 Turner Entertainment Co. distributed by Warner Bros., written by Jean Shepherd, Leigh Brown and Bob Clark and the book In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash by Jean Shepherd”

About the Playright

Philip Grecian began his show business career as a ventriloquist and magician at the age of four. By the age of 15, he had written a three-act comedy which was produced at a local theatre. At the age of 16 he was a founding director of a community theatre. Two years later he was asked, without audition, to be a part of the Creede Colorado Repertory Theatre, where he spent a season acting and writing. He has worked as a writer/director for film, video and audio production. Grecian’s televised live radio version of Dracula earned him an Emmy in 2010. Grecian adapted the story of Jean Shepherd’s memoir of growing up in the 1940s’ Midwest to create one of his most celebrated works, A Christmas Story.
