Rumpelstiltskin

Season 37
Jan 21 to Jan 28, 1950

Junior Theatre; EODL 1951 Regional Festival entry (one-act)

This production for children was presented over two consecutive Saturdays at the Little Theatre and Glebe Collegiate.

"Rumpelstilskin" was one of the ODL's entries into the Eastern Ontario Regional Drama Festival held in Ottawa from Feb. 23 to March 1.

Adjudicator Maxwell Wray awarded the production the Fulford Shield for Best One-Act Play. Although the adjudicator refrained from announcing the names of the runners-up for the various awards, he made an exception in the case of 13-year-old Ruth Addleman whom he said had given a remarkable performance and come very close to winning the top award.
