Season 47

EODL 1960 Regional Festival entry (full-length)

"Bus Stop" was the OLT entry into the Eastern Ontario Regional Drama Festival (Mar. 17-19) in Deep River, ON, where it was performed on Friday, March 18.

Adjudicator Guy Beaulne (a Montreal television producer formerly from Ottawa) awarded "Bus Stop" the Calvert Trophy for Best Production, as well as Best Actor (Rich Little); Best Actress (Louise Gibbes in her first-ever stage performance), and Best Supporting Actor (Tom Dunleavy).

Its Best Production win made it the EODL entry to the group of 14 regional finalists from across the country considered for participation in the Dominion Drama Festival taking place in Vancouver in May 1960, but it was not one of the eight chosen by the DDF adjudicators for the final competition.
