Eastern Ontario One-Act Play Festival

Season 48
May 31 to Jun 3, 1961

This festival, which took place only two months after the Eastern Ontario Regional Festival of both one-act and full-length plays, marked the first time the EODL held a festival exclusively for one-act plays.

There were 12 entries. The OLT Workshop's contribution was "Throw Sand Against the Wind" (2nd place winner of the 1960 National Playwriting Competition) which was performed on May 31 (for cast and crew, see Nov. 17-19,1960). It won Best Performance of a Canadian Play, and Best Supporting Actress (Joan Drewery).
