Ottawa City Drama Festival

Seven groups competed in the 1948 Festival of one-act plays adjudicated by Malcolm Morley with the winner going on to take part in the EODL Festival in Brockville:

Thursday, Jan. 20: "Mooncalf Mudford" presented by the United Church YPU; "Doctor Willy Nilly" (cast listed in separate Jan. 20 entry) presented by the Ottawa Drama League; "Brothers in Arms" presented by the High School of Commerce Alumni.

Friday, Jan. 21: "The Importance of Being Earnest" Act II presented by Carleton College; "Beginners Luck" presented by the Catholic Youth Organization.

Saturday, Jan. 11: "The Stolen Prince" (cast listed separately in November 1948 entry) presented by the ODL Junior Theatre; "A Self-Made Man" presented by the RA Dramatic Club. The latter won Best Production.
