When purchasing tickets online, the website suggests the best seats for you. If you don’t like the seats that are suggested, you can choose different seats by selecting available seats on the map. It will highlight the seats you’ve selected and you can click Change to newly selected seats right after. Once the change has been made, you will see that the new seats you selected are now in your order and ready to be added to your cart.
In order for you to see your subscription online, you need to add an email to your account – please call the box office to set this up. Once the box office staff have put your email onto your account, you can now go to the login page and click on Forgot my Password. Type in the email you are using for your account and click Rest password and email instructions. An email will be sent to you that you can create an actual password for your login. Now you are ready to access your subscription and renew online.
The program we use for online subscription sales offers “suggested seats” only online, so you are unable to manually choose your seats. If you are happy with the seats it suggests, proceed with your order. If you would like to choose different seats, please phone our box office and speak with one of our friendly staff who will help you select your seats.
First you select how many tickets you want and then click on Choose your seats. After you have chosen your seats, the following page is where you can change the price of your tickets. Default price is Adult and depending on what you are using to browse our website if you click on the price of the ticket you can select another price instead.
Please be aware that you can buy student tickets online, but you will be asked to show a valid Student ID or show proof that the ticket is for a student/child when picking up the ticket.
No, student price means that you get a deal for your own ticket or a ticket for a student/youth in your group. Offer good for all children and students with valid ID.
Our Front of House staff and many of our volunteers are certified in first aid and CPR. If a member of your party isn’t feeling well, notify our staff in the lobby and they will assist you.
In order for our staff to locate you quickly in case of an emergency, please leave for your sitter our backstage/greenroom telephone number (613.233.8948 extension 233) and the location of your seats—including which side of the auditorium they are on (for example, Left A1-2).
The main washrooms are located in the lower lobby on either side of the cloakroom. There is a wheelchair accessible washroom located by the Besserer St. Exit to the left of the stage.
Yes. The nice thing about being a season subscriber is you have all your tickets for each play ahead of time. If you need to switch a night, simply call the box office and they will find you the best seats for the night you wish to attend. There is a $2 fee for exchanges, however if you make a donation of $100 or more, all your exchanges are free for the season.
There are three exits – down the lobby stairs to the cloakroom and front doors, the Besserer St. Exit by the left of the stage (your left) and the King Edward Ave. exit located on the right hand side of the theatre – that exit takes you directly out onto King Edward Ave by the front of the theatre.
The Ottawa Art Assocation displays art during each production. Should you wish to purchase a painting, simply pick up an order form found on the various tables throughout the lobby. Under each painting you will find a card with the painting information on it.. Write down the painting information on the order form and take that home with you. The following day, call the box office at 613-233-8948.
In our last season, 96% of OLT’s income was from ticket sales, other forms of earned revenue (such as rentals and bar proceeds), and fundraising. 4% was from government grants.

No. Professionals and new talent alike volunteer their time at OLT. Everyone from actors, directors, designers (costume, set, lighting, sound, set, make-up ect.), crew and ushers volunteer their time on each production. An estimated 50,000 volunteer hours are donated each season by a dedicated team of volunteers.
There are over 600 parking spots within a block of OLT (plus street parking). Directly behind the theatre is Capital Parking ($6) which you can access from Besserer St and Rideau St.. Loblaws parking is now 24 Hours! One block from OLT you can park at this heated, covered and secure parking garage for $3. This 300 spot covered parking is perfect for the winter and is located only one block away. View Parking Map . There is also parking next door to OLT at Quality Hotel ($5) – the blue doors will open when you drive up, but beware – the pay machines can be tricky!
Yes. You can pre-order drinks for intermission and simply pick them up at the side of the bar at the beginning of intermission. No waiting!
Yes. The side entrance (235 Besserer St.) leads directly into the auditorium. Simply ring the bell and an usher will open the door, take your tickets and hand you a programme.
